Steel Wall Pools
The first step of any in ground pool is Excavation. This can be the most important step , since location and elevation are determined at this point. We have several sized excavators and backhoes, some small enough to fit in even the tightest yards. The site is carefully excavated removing excess fill leaving just enough soil behind to backfill and grade out the yard.
The completed excavation ready for the installation of steel walls. A mistake made at this stage is not realized until final grade. The pool elevation set to high or low can greatly affect the final outcome. At Gappsi The elevation is discussed and decided by Giuseppe Abbrancati, Kevin Anderson and the homeowner.
We realize the importance of every step and make sure it is done correctly. The galvanized steel frame installed, leveled and ready for the concrete footing. All plumbing is done before hand on solid undisturbed ground, A-Frame braces are installed at every seem to support the structure. Cement is poured around the perimeter of the pool stabilizing and supporting the structure. 4’-6” of continuous cement is poured. Usually 2’ around. Here we have poured an extra wide base to support a spa that will be installed in a later step. the bottom is trowel by hand to give a smooth base for the liner .All side walls and stairs are covered in wall foam. It help transition any seems in the steel and also has some insulating qualities. The finished pool
