Limestone Pavers
Limestone is a sedimentary stone. Famous for it’s use in many historical buildings and ancient structures, Gappsi limestone’s are imported from the same places that the Romans, Greeks and Egyptians emperors and pharaohs had their stone mined from for the construction of their castles and residents. Limestone is a beautiful colorful stone that can be finished in many textures and sizes. Gappsi limestone finishes are natural, sandblasted, flamed, tumbled and antiqued. One very famous building still standing today is the Verona arena (arena di verona) is a roman amphitheatre in Verona Italy which is famous for large scale opera performances. It is one of the best preserved ancient structures of its kind, the building was built in year 30 AD as you can see in this picture the round façade is composed of white and pink limestone and the side walk is gray lime stone that got honed and smoothened by the millions of people that walked in this on this pavement from the time of the roman empire till today’s tourists that visit and spectators that come to enjoy live concerts that are held in the arena almost daily.
